Ken Leeper was born in San Diego, but raised in southern Texas. He traveled all over the US with the Navy, the Coast Guard and even SpaceX, before settling and retiring in Alaska. In that time, he was a jet mechanic, an avionics electrician, and an engineer. While he has always been an outdoor enthusiast, it wasn’t until more recently that he found the calming effects of capturing nature through a lens. Initially starting with a few Canon cameras, he has since branched out to include drones to capture aerial views as well. Through both camera system types, he can convey a greater story and fuller picture that is the beauty of Alaska. He can generally be found wandering the trails, woods and coastlines of Kodiak with a backpack full of camera and drone gear looking for the next story to tell.
